I myself play golf a lot and to be honest I did not used to be very good, no matter what golf clubs or golf putters I purchased it just did not help me. Well a few times back I decided to purchase a Nintendo Wii and it came bundled in with Wii Sports which included a Golf game. Obviously being obsessed with golf I decided to play this and it was just as realistic as any real game I have ever played.

After a few weeks of playing the game I felt very confident in my new found ability to play the game so decided to join a tournament. I did not feel I would get very far, but to my surprise I got through the first round and then the second and third, I was in the semi finals but unfortunatley I got eliminated out by a professional golfer who had probably had a decade and more of practice.

But I would not get myself angry because of the fact that I got to the semi finals, it just shows you how well the games consoles have developed. I do recommend that if you are looking to get into any type of activity to go out and grab yourself a games console, within a few months you will have mastered your game. The wii and a nice set of golf equipment is all you need.

6. Sony goes Home with it’s new virtual world for PS3 users. There is the world of Sony Home to explore as well. Home puts fun back to the console world, it’s quirky, but don’t knock it until you’ve tried it.

7. Buzz! – The quiz game has come back to the PS3 with a vengeance. The greatest console quiz game Buzz can be updated with new games packs from the Playstation store. Your home is now a permanent quiz game show location, play other players from around the world from the comfort of your sofa.

8. Stanford University @ Home – Now you and your PS3 can contribute to creating raw processing power. Connect your PS3 to the Folding @ Home programme and know you are helping compute solutions for scientific and medical projects.

9. Motostorm – If you haven’t played it, you should, great game for petrol heads and games freaks alike.

10. The media server – Playstation 3 works as a media hub allowing you to view and use content from PC’s and hard drives in your shared network. The playstation 3 can be used to show pictures and photos through a large display television.
